Please take a moment to read the bios of those who have stepped forward and accepted a nomination to the Fox Valley Walk to Emmaus board. After you have prayed about it, please vote on those who you feel that God has called to the board. Only six candidates will be selected for the board.
Ben Harrison, FVWTE #15 - Married to Kris Harrison for 37 years (yes, we are proud of it). A member of Mauston UMC. Many hobbies, but "Emmaus relevant" will be singing, logistics/support, public speaking (if I need to), technology (electronic hardware and almost a Microsoft Poweruser). Non-Emmaus hobbies include carpentry and electrical with knowledge in other construction-related trades. I am a Project Manager by trade.
Carrie Farnsworth, FVWTE #16 - I attend Black River Falls UMC, and have been active in the Emmaus community serving on nomination/selection committee and as Assistant Table Leader. I am willing to serve where God calls me.
Dennis Farnsworth, FVWTE #15 - I attend Black River Falls UMC, and have been active in the Emmaus community serving as Assistant Table Leader. I am willing to serve where God calls me.
Theresa Paul, FVWTE #4 - I am the Lay Ministry Coordinator and attend Black River Falls UMC. I have worked on several Walks. I am willing to serve were God calls me.
Bob Warner, FVWTE #13 - I have been actively participating with the community since that time and have sponsored two pilgrims. I am an ordained deacon at Covenant Community Presbyterian Church (PCUSA) in Schofield, WI. I am not exactly certain what I can bring to the table other than a willing heart and love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I will go wherever He leads me.
Ric Hoerz, FVWTE #17 - where I served at the table of Peter. I encouraged and supported my wife Gale on her walk (#18) and sponsored a friend, Ken Odom on his walk (#19) this year. Below is an excerpt from my bio that indicates my board and career experience and I hope will be helpful here:
Ric has served as Chairman of the Board for the Maryland Heights Chamber of Commerce and as director for the West County Chamber of Commerce Board. He served on the Charitable Committee and as a member at the Missouri Athletic Club. He has served on the Board of Directors for Shalom House and chair of the Board Governance Committee, was Past President (2007-2008) of the Board for Habitat for Humanity, St. Louis
Jan Brantingham, FVWTE #14, Table of Sarah - I attend The First UMC of Oshkosh, and have been active in the Emmaus community, serving as an Agape volunteer on Walks 16, 17, and 20, and as the Agape Lead on Walk 18. I am willing to serve on the FVWTE Board wherever God calls me.
Mike Hert, FVWTE #17, Table of Luke - Was an ATL for this year's men's walk #19 - 2016. He is an active member at St. James UMC in Appleton. Has a calling to work with veterans and has an active ministry going at the Wisconsin Veteran's Home - King. He is a strong and mature Christian. I believe he would bring many talents to the board and serve God and the community well.
Robyn Essler, FVWTE #18, Table of Ruth - I attend Monroe UMC where I serve as the worship leader for our contemporary worship service. Having just completed my walk last year (2015) I am still trying to find my calling within the community. I believe serving on the board would give me that opportunity. Thank you for considering me.
Jerry Juve Jr., FVWTE #13, attend Freedom Fellowship Church, have been active in Emmaus community serving on Walks for the past 2 years. I am willing to serve where God calls me.
Jay Hahn, FVWTE #11, Table of John, I have been a member of Suamico United Methodist Church since 1991. During those years I have served on several committees including Stewardship Committee, Council, Building committee, and am currently serving as chairperson of the Staff Parish Relations Committee. I have been Lay Leader to Annual Conference since 2014. I have been blessed to have served on several Fox Valley Walk to Emmaus men’s walks and participated in agape.
(Please use the write-in vote for Chris) Chris Chandler, FVWTE #8, Table of Sarah, Very active in my church (First UMC in Oshkosh). Chair of Membership, Chair of Bazar, Church circle, and usher. Have been involved with both Emmaus and Kairos Prison Ministry. In Emmaus, I have served in agape, as Assistant Table Leader, and Table Leader. I have served on the Emmaus Board of Directors for three years and currently I am serving as the Treasurer. I would be willing to serve as Treasurer for another 2+ years.
